Getting the logs from the MGW

1.1.1
Get the logs from the M-MGw R2, R3 and R4.0 nodes1
Logon FTP client connected to the node.

Change to the directory in the FTP client, where you want to download CELLO_AVAILABILITY_LOG.xml file (for R2 and R3) or CELLO_AVAILABILITY2_LOG.xml file (for R4.0).

Open FTP connection to the node.

Example:

~/temp> ftp 192.168.59.140

Enter your Node user-Id and password.

Change to /c/logfiles/cello directory.

Example:

ftp> cd /c/logfiles/cello

ftp> dir

Download the Node Availability log file.
Example1 for M-MGw R2 and R3:

ftp> get CELLO_AVAILABILITY_LOG.xml
Example2 for M-MGw R4.0:

ftp> get CELLO_AVAILABILITY2_LOG.xml

Close FTP connection.

ftp> quit
Rename the files (see the details in the reference 2).

NOTE:
Make sure to name the files correctly. The log file should always start with Site name. It’s equally important to use always the same Site name that was given for the node, when the Exchange mapping was done in the ISP-Tool.

The file name must always begin with the Site name:
SITENAME_MARKETID_DATE_COUNTRY_OPERATOR_NODETYPE.xml

The structure of the ZIP file name is optional, but it’s good practice to follow the following structure:
MARKETID_DATE_COUNTRY_OPERATOR_NODETYPE.zip

Allowed content for each expression above is explained in the reference 2.

SITENAME limited to a maximum of 16 characters
-
MARKETID is a 6 digit value provided by the ISP-Tool.
-
DATE format e.g. YYYYMMDD. Separates the file from the previously sent log files.
-
NODETYPE equals M-MGW.

If you have several nodes to report you can zip several files together in one zipped file and send that file to ISP-Tool.
