This document addresses items specific to a BSA deployment in the overall deployment of an
integrated PDM supporting location services for PDM software releases 3.x and 4.x (where
necessary, functionality differences due to software release capability are specifically mentioned).
It is for Service Providers and System Integrators requiring information on the BSA in
preparation for its initial deployment. This document assumes that these individuals are familiar
with the SnapTrack PDM and the interaction between the PDM and the BSA for providing
location services.
Figure 1–1 depicts the PDM deployment process. Shaded boxes represent BSA-related activities
within the process and are discussed in this document. The PDM, and other wireless location
services network elements in front of the PDM, are not discussed. For more information on the
PDM, see the SnapTrack PDM Implementation Overview [STI.1]. For more information on the
overall PDM deployment process, see the SnapTrack PDM Deployment Guide [STI.8].
