職位描述

Main Description: Software Engineering Manager (Tools and Drivers).

Responsibilities involve managing a dynamic team of senior software engineers working on external and internal software tools across mobile computing and M2M products.

職位要求

Required Knowledge: Strong background in C/C++ design and development.

Strong knowledge of the software development practices and software life cycle management.

Have lead or done development on various OS platforms such as Windows, iOS, and Linux OS with more of a focus on Windows.

Proficient with use of software development management tools such as Jira, Team track, and Perforce.

Knowledge of wireless device technologies such as

LTE

, HSPA, UMTS, and EVDO is a plus.

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in leading and managing software development teams.

Minimum of 8 years hands on experience in developing C/C++ software applications for commercial use.

5 years working in the wireless products industry.

Experience working with factories in deploying software tools for factory mass production.

Special Requirement: Self-starter and ability to motivate team members to work together and be effective.

Excellent communicator that can understand technical requirements and clearly communicate the team objectives to the team members as well to other cross functional stake holders to the products of the tools team.

Ability to survive and thrive in an environment where requirements can change rapidly and managing multiple priorities and projects is norm.

Education: BS/BA required. MS desired.

Development of Windows software programming for 3G/4G wireless product

Design and write code in C, C++ for a series of software tools to provision modems for factory replication.

Understand firmware provisioned image assembly and allow for customization of the image.

Communicate with engineering team, program managers, operations fulfillment, and technical account managers. Support product to customers.

Work with internal teams to develop application software new feature and bug fixes.

Work with customers to support their requirements

Develop applications, perform system analysis and suggest design changes

任職資格的具體描述：

BS or any Masters degree, computer science major. LTE and 4G specialization desired.

Strong debugging and programming skills, ability to ineract with firmware team, and overall good work attitude

Must have worked in provisioning, factory support tools, or in data-driven software systems

Some experience in either of middleware, manufacturing systems, software synchronization, or automated testing desired.

Level depending on experience:

3 years writing and maintaining solid (C/C++) code for Windows development and debugging experience.

2 years Windows development and debugging experience.

2 years USB driver, WiFi driver development skills for wireless modems.

2 years of Database programming skills desired.

2 years of Linux/Unix skills desired.

Required Knowledge:

Familiar with software diagnostic, installer, ISO imaging, updating techniques with a strong desire to take on complex commercial technology challenges

Demonstrated writer of solid software, and implemented code reuse libraries.

Strong knowledge of EVDO and HSPA provisioning or activation requirements.

Strong debugging and programming skills, ability to interact with firmware team, and overall good work attitude.

Familiar with methods of software designs that parse XML.

Process knowledge of SQL, Database, 3 tier and data-driven solutions.

Working knowledge of EVDO, HSPA, USB Drivers, InstallShield, Wi-Fi and Ethernet communication and network protocols.

Manage multiple tasks, write technical documentation, and communicate well.

Some knowledge of OMA-DM, or OTA version upgrading and some LTE or WiMax knowledge.

Must have 5 years coding experience in the embedded environment.

Good knowledge of software development lifecycle.

Excellent coding, documentation, and debugging practices.Must have ability to debug complex hardware/software interactions in an embedded RTOS environment working alongside hardware design team.
