The 3rd generation mobile communication (thereinafter 3G) system attracts lots of users with advanced technology and abundant services, and more and more commercial networks have been constructed in Europe, Asia and other areas worldwide. The number of 3G subscribers is increasing dramatically.
The objective of this document is to propose a radio network solution for ××× project to build a UMTS network covering the important city Marseillein France.
The purpose of the radio network planning is to achieve the required amount of sites and their configurations, which fulfills the requirements for the coverage, capacity and quality based on the frequency resources, equipment performance and economic factors.
This document describes the radio network planning for WCDMA network based on the information given by Altice and collected by ZTE’s engineers in France. Considering the information on the detailed requirements of the network, some rational proposals are offered in this document. The result of the radio network planning will be the reference to Altice in the actual network construction and investment.
