1.Visually inspect the cable identified in Section 3.1.
2.Replace or connect the cable, if necessary.
3.Check that the alarm has ceased.
4.If the alarm remains, lock the RU identified in Section 3.1. See Lock Board.
5.Replace the RU. See Replacing Radio Units. In case of a Remote Radio Unit (RRU), see Replacing Remote Radio Units.
6.Unlock the RU. See Unlock Board.
7.Check that the alarm has ceased.
8.If the alarm remains, put the original RU back.
9.In case of a cascaded RU configuration, repeat the steps above for the connected RU. Otherwise continue with replacing the DU, described in the steps below. If both RUs in the cascade chain have been changed and the alarm remains, consult the next level of maintenance support. See Fault Management for further actions to take before contacting next level of support.
10.Lock the DU identified in Section 3.1. See Lock Board.
11.Replace the DU. See Replacing Digital Units.
12.Unlock the DU. See Unlock Board.
13.Check that the alarm has ceased.
14.If the alarm remains, put the original DU back and consult the next level of maintenance support. See Fault Management for further actions to take before contacting next level of support.
