Mobile Managenment Entity -- 移動管理實體 
The MME (Mobility Management Entity) helps authenticate users onto the system and tracks active and idle users on the system. The MME pages users when triggered by new data arriving for an idle user at the assigned Serving GW.
When a user attaches to a eNodeB, the eNodeB select a MME. The MME in turn selects the Serving GW and the PDN GW that will handles the users bearer packets. There are procedures to relocate a user to a new MME (and potentially a new Serving GW) when an active or idle user moves to a new area outside of the current MME&＃39;&＃39;&＃39;&＃39;s control.
