S^2: 3GPP RAN取消2月和3月的面對(duì)面會(huì)議

3GPP RAN取消2月和3月的面對(duì)面會(huì)議，改為E-meeting，具體形式還在商議中。其中2月為RAN工作組（RAN1-5）會(huì)議，3月為RAN全會(huì)。

以2019年11月的3GPP RAN工作組會(huì)議為例，RAN1注冊(cè)人數(shù)為500余人，RAN4注冊(cè)人數(shù)為300余人。

原定4月RAN4會(huì)議和5月RAN工作組會(huì)議在中國(guó)召開（昆明/大連），現(xiàn)決定換至非美國(guó)的其他國(guó)家，如歐洲。

7月可能增加一次工作組Ad-hoc會(huì)議。

以下是3GPP RAN各位主席的聯(lián)合郵件通知：

Dear Colleagues,

Following the assessment of the situationwith the coronavirus spread the RAN TSG and WG leadership (in closeco-ordination with the SA and CT leadership) has made the following decisionswith respect to the upcoming 3GPP RAN WG and TSG meetings:

-All Q1 RAN WG meetings (scheduled for February) and RAN#87(scheduled for March) will be converted to E-meetings. Face-to-face RAN WGmeetings in Q1 and RAN#87 will be cancelled. Detailed process and deadlines forthe E-meetings (both WG and TSG) will be worked out over the coming week andannounced on 7th of February.

Further detailed handling of the residual impacts of these changes (e.g. TUallocation, Release finalization, etc…) will also be announced on 7thof February.

The leadership will also assess the potential need to insert a WG ad-hocmeeting for July/2020 in order to make up for the fall-out of the Februaryface-to-face meeting. Further details on this will also be announced on the 7thof February.

-All Q2 RAN WG meetings (both April and May) and RAN#88 (inJune) are confirmed that they will be held.

-The RAN4 meeting in April, and all RAN WG meetings in Maywill be re-located to Europe/NA(non-US). The leadership will immediately pursueseeking new host(s) for these meetings. Confirmation on the new location(s) andinvitations will be provided ASAP.

Please note that we did not come to thesedecisions lightly. We believe that based on what we know today this is the bestcourse of action to take from the perspective ensuring continued progress aswell as ensuring health and safety of our delegates in these difficult times.
